Vertical indicator post (Underground type indicator post) is used to operate a buried or inaccessible non-rising stem (NSR) gate valve. It also indicates the OPEN or SHUT status of the valve through the viewing window.

Note: It has a pre-cast boss on the barrel that could be tapped with 1/2″ NPT to install additional supervisory switch.
