3-way bronze globe valve (Gauge valve) is used to simplify the installation of sprinkler system pressure gauges. With the valve having the design of one inlet and two outlets, this allows for replacement of the system gauge without shutting down the water supply to the sprinkler system. This arrangement allows an inspector to test system pressure with another gauge through the second outlet.
